Armed robbers abandon GHC 195k and  take to their heels after police storm their booty sharing meeting

Four persons suspected to be armed robbers took to their heels and abandoned a whopping amount of One Hundred and Ninety Five Thousand Ghana Cedis they were sharing when armed police men stormed the venue where the money was being shared.

BestNewsGH.com is informed the robbers were in the process if sharing the amount which is believed to be proceeds of a robbery operation carried out by the yet to be identified suspects the previous night when the police stormed the place.

The incident which occurred at Afrancho near Akomadan in the  Offinso North District of the Ashanti region, saw the robbers flee into a nearby bush when the police stormed the gari processing factory where they had converged to share the money.

BestNewsGH.com sources say the police retrieved from the scene, a green Fiat  Saloon Car with registration number AS 4041 Y, which was being used by the suspects, one G3 magazine loaded with 14 ammunition, a polythene bag containing 36 G 3 ammunition, a Ghanaian passport bearing the name of Ofori Samuel Bright, a Ghanaian driving license Number Kusi- 0085- 00 -:01 Rev. Francis Kwabena, Voter ID card No 2985015930 bearing the name of Pastor Kofi Bioh, one Tecno mobile phone,  and one Itel mobile phone.

The exact amount according to the police, after they conveyed the retrieved items to the police station and checked, was GHC 195, 672.

Unconfirmed sources suggest the robbers may be the ones involved in the robbery of an Absa Bank bullion Van on the Techiman-Sunyani road.
