Legal Practitioner and politician, Mr. Sulley Sambian says Ghana’s handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic has been very proactive.

According to the North East Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), this is evidenced by the commendations that are pouring in from across the globe.

The NPP North East Regional scribe described Ghana;s current COVID-19 case count which stands at Four Thousand, Seven Hundred (4,700) as not alarming or scary at all.

In his estimation, Ghana has been way ahead of the United States of America in terms of contact tracing, arguing further that Ghana’s situation would have been worse, but for the contact tracing.

BestNewsGH.com reports Lawyer Sambian as positing that Ghana’s impressive performance is a result of the aggressive contact tracing that has been carried out so far.

Lawyer Sambian who took to his Facebook Page to share his thoughts on the COVID-19 situation in the country wrote ‘’Our number now stands at about 4700….someone would ask: Isn’t this scary? No, it’s not. We got here because of aggressive contact tracing. As the president said yesterday, over 3000 were discovered through contact tracing. But for the contact tracing, you can imagine how many people who would have been infected by now. The USA did not embark on contact tracing; Spain, Italy did not embark on contact tracing. They waited till people reported to the hospitals. The sorry story of these countries is there for all to see. Trust me, Ghana has been very proactive. It is not for nothing that we are enjoying commendations from across the globe.’’
