His call comes less than 24 hours after the president addressed the nation and ordered the suspension of activities in schools, churches, funerals and seminars among others.

Ibrah One in a post on Social Media and sighted by BestNewsGH.com commended the president for the decisive steps, but wants more.

He wants the President to order the release of all prisoners because of the crowded nature of the prisons, which in his estimation is a recipe for the spread of the virus.

I salute Nana Addo for taking this decision of suspending schools and all public gatherings until further notice.

This is one of his best decisions ever since he took overpower.

But I’ll love to suggest that all prisoners who’re spending their jail time must also be freed to go home for now and come back later to continue their terms when things cool down.

We all know the conditions in those prisons. If the virus should break out now, they’ll all die in a matter of days.

Prisoners are also humans, so they have the right to be freed as a preventive measure against the coronavirus.”
