The Maritime industry in Ghana has been dealt severe blow with the passing of another manager from the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
The General Managers in charge of Tema Fishing Harbour, Kumi Adjei-Sam, popularly known as Castro has been confirmed dead at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, formally Ridge Hospital.
His passing today, Sunday October 20, 2019 has thrown the shipping fraternity into a state of shock and grief.
He is said to have been rushed to the Hospital after collapsing at his home on Friday October 18, 2019.
Mr. Adjei-Sam joined the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority in the 1980s and has served in various managerial positions in both the Tema and Takoradi Ports including Port Personnel and Admin Manager among others.
He was said to be due for retirement in a year or two.
