Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) strongman, Edudzi Tameklo has lampooned president Akufo-Addo, saying he has no moral right to victimize Ghanaian businesses.

According to him, the president cannot extricate himself from the tag of running a friends and family government and pushing contracts and other support to companies affiliated to his friends and family members or his wife’s associates.

‘’A President, who has family members and friends in business, should be the last person to do anything that smacks of political victimisation of the businesses of other Ghanaians. Like former President Kuffour said. Every regulator can destroy or build, it is just about motivation’’ he said.

Mr. Tameklo accused the president of recently facilitating the use of Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund to aid Inter Afrique Holdings Limited, a company that belongs to the blood sister of the first lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

‘’Recently the President, Nana Addo facilitated the use of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund to help Inter Afrique Holdings Limited in the execution of the Pullman Airport City Project. The face behind Inter Afrique Holdings Limited is Dr Nyantakyi, the husband of Auntie Regi, the blood sister of the wife of Nana Addo. When you are ‘eating’ the fingers of a monkey, look at your own. I fear for tomorrow. NPP is not a perfect example of how to rule’’ he added.
