Economics lecturer, Macroeconomic consultant and Researcher at AfDB, Dr. Adama Yakubu has demonstrated his will to lead his people after he picked nomination forms to contest the forth coming NPP parliamentary primaries in the Wa east constituency of the upper west region.
The late hours of Monday, 27th January 2020, witnessed the formal and cheerful picking of the form at the offices of the party’s constituency secretary.
The party supporters who accompanied Dr. Adama Yakubu to pick the forms told BestNewsGH.com how thrilled they were to come in fellowship with the economist to seek the people’s mandate.
BestNewsGH.com can report that Dr. Adama Yakubu from his days as the president of the Wa East students union at Legon between 2005/2006, has been participating in all party activities both at the local and international levels. He has represented his constituency in many forums, contributing to the development of one of the oldest, yet underserved districts in the upper west region.
As a first-rate farmer, the widely travelled native of Yeyiri a farmer based community of the Wa East district is married and blessed with three children. His educational trails took him far away to United the Kingdom, France, Turkey and the Americas among others. Dr. Adama speaks lots of both local and foreign languages.
He stated that he is going to focus on agri-business and the seeking for credit facilities for the many farmers in the constituency with the aim of alleviating poverty and enriching the lives of the people. He added that under his leadership the constituency will witness better health outcomes and quality education.
