The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reiterated the commitment of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government to ensure the absolute and total development and transformation of Zongo communities in the country.
According to him, no government in Ghana has paid as much attention to the needs of Zongos as the Nana Akufo-Addo Administration.
Dr. Bawumia who was speaking as the special guest at the National Nasara Conference of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Bono East Regional Capital, Techiman, averred that “From the epoch-making establishment of a Ministry for Inner City and Zongo Development to the setting up of a Zongo Development Fund, and other targeted initiatives, the NPP administration has clearly shown its desire to improve the quality of life in Zongo communities. So many projects are going on in many Zongos across the country such as schools, water systems, modern toilet facilities, drainage works, green parks and astroTurfs. Zongos are also benefiting from other programs such as Free SHS, NABCO, etc.””
The Vice President entreated Ghanaians, especially NPP faithful, to support the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to deliver on its mandate.
