30 year old nursing mother arrested with fake 100 and 200 cedi notes while shopping

A 30 year old nursing mother has been arrested at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region for possessing and shopping with fake 100 and 200 Ghana Cedi notes, BestNewsGH.com can report.

Christiana Amoakoh was nabbed by the police in the Region at Nkawkaw Central and Agogroshie Markets upon a tip-off.

BestNewsGH.com is informed the suspect who has been taken into police custody was arrested while she was purchasing goods with the fake money at the market.

She denied knowledge about the money, explaining she never know they were fake notes.

Chief Inspector Seth Awure, the Nkawkaw central Police Station Officer in an interview monitored by BestNewsGH.com said investigations have commenced into the matter and that efforts are being made to apprehend possible accomplices.
