Three suspected female robbers who were apprehended by members of SARS in Nigeria were stripped naked and physically molested while their male counterparts had their clothes on.
This action has triggered anger, especially from twitter users who find the act barbaric and inhuman.
Sources indicate that the suspected female robbers allegedly belong to a one-chance robbery gang.
In the course of the molestation, one of the victims was heard screaming that she was innocent and that she was a passenger in a vehicle.
The worry of many of the social media users who are condemning the act is the fact that the victims are merely suspects and have not been confirmed guilty.
They also question why the male counterparts were not given an equal measure of the treatment that was meted out to the women.
