The 2019 budget and government economic policy statement should have been christened ‘action budget’ according to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

Daniel Okyem Aboagye believes government has laid a very solid foundation that will catapult the country into massive infrastructural development, hence, there will be so much action in 2019, adding that the best name that should have been given to the budget should have been ‘action budget’.

‘’The 2019 budget is more about taking very bold actions. When we pay taxes as Ghanaians we complain and when we go to borrow too, the opposition NDC also thinks we will use the money just like the way they wasted our money in the past, but that is not the case. We have gotten to a point where we don’t need to go hospitals and there are shortage of beds and facilities to allow for effective health care delivery’’ he said.

According to him, government has taken the bold initiative to borrow and bridge the infrastructure gap in the country with a view to accelerating and transforming the country for the benefit of the generality of the Ghanaian people.

He is urging Ghanaians to rally behind the government to fix the challenges in the country so that they can live in dignity and prosperity.
