The National Coordinator of government’s flagship One District One Factory (1D1F) programme, Gifty Ohene Konadu has referred critics of the initiative who lampoon government on a daily bases about the whereabouts of the factories, to the opposition National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Chief Biney Hamilton, saying he is now a disciple of the programme.

According to her, critics who want to know the stage of the Ekumfi factory under the 1D1F initiative should find out from Chief Biney who is a citizen of the area.

According to her, the deputy national NDC organizer aspirant is fully abreast with the progress of work at the Ekumfi factory and appreciates how the factory, when completed will boost the local economy of the area, saying he has fallen in love with initiative.

‘’I usually hear people mention that they have been to Ekumfi but they haven’t seen the factory and all that but I don’t want to indulge them because it will look as if I am blowing our own trumpet. But if they want to know how the factory is progressing, they should ask chief Biney, yes the NDC’s chief Biney, before God and man, he cannot lie. Chief Biney is the best person to testify about the Ekumfi project, the stage it has gotten to and all that’’ she noted.

According to her, the factories are springing up in the various locations and that those that reside in the localities where they are being constructed are those that can best attest to the fact that it is a reality and that very soon they will become operational.

‘’When you want to play politics with such a laudable initiative, the folks down there where the projects are going on knows the reality on the ground and so when you blow the hot air like that, they laugh at you because they are fully aware of what is happening.’’ She said
