An 18 year old lady is in the grips of the law for stabbing her boyfriend to death over GHC 60.
BestNewsGH.com reports that the suspect, committed the act during a heated argument between herself and the deceased over the amount.
Identified as Idowu Abosede, the suspect was arrested after a distress call was made to the police from the Seriki Hausa in the Sagamu area, Nigeria.
The argument was about some 3,000 Naira, the equivalent of GHC 60, which the suspect took from the deceased after passing the night in his (deceased’s) house
A statement issued by the police read:
“On interrogation, the suspect claimed that she came to pass the night with the deceased and when it was morning, she took the sum of N3,000 from the deceased which he was not ready to part with. This led to an argument between them.
She further stated that it was the deceased who brought out the knife and in the cause of dragging it with him, the knife stabbed him on his chest.”
The body of the deceased has since been handed over to his relations on demand for burial according to Islamic injunctions.
