Nana Adabor Ibrahim Isaah Ampim otherwise known as Hon Aponkye has braved the storms to emerge winner of the District Assembly elections for the Adukrom Nima electoral area.
He is now the Assembly Man for the area.
Broadcast Journalist with EIB Network’s GhOne Television, Nana Aba Anamoah broke the news of Hon. Aponkye’s win on her Twitter page.
Hon. Aponkye pulled 7966 votes out of the total 8009 ballots cast.
She tweeted that:
‘’I just got off the phone with my candidate He said ‘nana y3 winniiiiiiiiiooooooo’ Then pim the line dropped. Now his phone is off.’’
Hon Aponkye shot to popularity after granting an interview on Television with Nana Aba Anamoah during which he promised to give free food daily, to the youth of his electoral area plus one house one toilet among other hefty promises.
