World Cup 2026Q: Salisu, Kamaldeen lead early arrivals as Black Stars open camp

The Black Stars held their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, March 17, in preparation for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

Ghana will take on Chad on Friday, March 21, as they continue their quest for a spot in the tournament set to be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Head coach Otto Addo’s squad opened camp on Monday, with nine players reporting to the team’s base at the Alisa Hotel.

The early arrivals include Mohammed Salisu, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Razak Simpson, Gideon Mensah, Jojo Wollacott, Antoine Semenyo, Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Kamaradini Mamudu.

The remaining 17 players are expected to join the squad later today and by the end of Tuesday, as preparations intensify.

The Black Stars must secure a win to claim the top spot in their group and strengthen their chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
