UEW dismisses visiting Nigerian Professor over unsavoury comments

The Management of the University of Education Winneba has dismissed Prof. Augustine Uzoma Mwagbara for some unsavoury comments he made about some institutions in the country including the education sector.

The Nigerian Professor of English who was on sabbatical at the University of Education Winneba was caught in a video which has since gone viral making damning comments about Ghana and how Nigerians living in the country can cleanse their image by hiring Ghanaian media to work for them.

He was invited by the police for interrogation and has been granted bail.

‘’The University is highly disturbed by the huge embarrassment his unguarded statements has brought to the institution, the Ministry of Education and indeed Ghana as a whole’’ the letter dismissing Professor Uzoma read in part.
