NLA-European Lottery Association foster greater partnership as players in Ghana’s lottery industry receive training

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) and the European Lotteries Association have forged and fostered deeper collaboration aimed at enhancing their operational capabilities.

To this end, experts from the European Lotteries Association who are currently on a working visit to the NLA, have held comprehensive training sessions for major players in Ghana’s lottery industry.

Beneficiaries of the training programme including the top Management of the NLA, Lotto Marketing Companies, Private Lottery Operators and some Third-party Collaborators were taken through a broad and wide range of topics including Responsible Gaming, Fighting Illegal lottery operations, Ai and Technologies and Anti Money Laundering.

European Lotteries Association experts, Mr. Phillipe Vlaemminck and Ms. Beata Guzik expressed optimism the training of the various actors and players in Ghana’s Lottery space will significantly help improve efficiency.

The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority, Mr. Sammi Awuku speaking on the sidelines of the Training programme on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, was resolute in his conviction that such programmes would help expose participants to global trends as far as the lottery business is concerned.

While expressing his appreciation and gratitude to the participants, Mr. Awuku said ‘’Together, we take a significant step in promoting transparency, enforcing ethical practices and creating a safer lottery industry.’’
