President-elect John Mahama has sent a strong message to those lobbying for positions in his incoming administration.

Mr Mahama cautioned them to prepare for the challenges ahead.

He said this during a Thanksgiving Service held in his honour at the Ringway Gospel Church in Accra on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

“I have been receiving calls and knocks on my door, and text messages from people who are considering themselves for various positions. And I just want to warn them, it’s not going to be a walk in the park.

“If you’re not preparing to work and serve the people of Ghana diligently, modestly and with humility, then don’t come. Just stay where you are.”

The service was attended by his family, close friends, and members of his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Reflecting on his political journey, Mr Mahama described it as divinely inspired, acknowledging God’s guidance at every step.

While expressing gratitude for the election triumph, the President-elect was quick to highlight the immense work ahead.

The Thanksgiving Service was filled with prayers and hymns as the congregation came together to celebrate Mahama’s victory and seek God’s continued guidance for his presidency.
