Mobile Telecommunications giant, MTN over the weekend held a stakeholder dinner in the Central Regional Capital, Cape Coast as part of the 10th Anniversary celebrations of the company’s flagship product, Mobile Money, popularly known as MoMo.
The Regional Senior Manager incharge of the South West Business District, Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarko in his welcome remarks lauded the stakeholders for their continued support and partnership.
He said ‘’ For us in MTN we consider you our cherished stakeholders as large investors, who will either increase or decrease their stakes in your company according to your financial performance. Ideally, they act as guardian angels every day and supports management with feedback to change tactics if necessary. We are here because you are!.’’
Mr. Owusu Nyarko averred that ‘’ The journey for the past ten years has been up and down for us as partners but we are happy we have been able to cross this milestone of 10 years with your kind support. Ladies and gentlemen, as we celebrate each other today, let us be mindful of our advocacy for a cash lite economy as the pioneers in Ghana’s Mobile Financial Services space.’’
According to him, even though the company is not oblivious of the challenges ahead, it is equally not oblivious of the opportunities that lies ahead saying ‘’We have great challenges and great opportunities and with your help we will meet them and make the next celebration the best in our history.’’
He entreated the stakeholders to continue to work hard so that their names could be associated with the next MoMo anniversary celebration.
The Company also used the opportunity to handover another brand new car to yet another winner of the MoMo Anniversary Promo.
