The Ghana Education Service (GES) has removed the Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academic of the KNUST Senior High School in Kumasi from office following the circulation of a video on social media allegedly showing him in a compromising position with a female student.
In a statement issued in Accra on Monday, September 29, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Mr Daniel Fenny, the Service said, the assistant headmaster, Charles A. Aidoo, had also been barred from visiting the school while investigations continued.
“The attention of the Management of the Ghana Education Service was drawn to a viral video circulating on social media, allegedly involving Mr Charles Akwasi Aidoo in a compromised position with a female student. Management views this matter with utmost seriousness,” the statement said.
Mr Fenny stated that the Service was committed to protecting the welfare of students and maintaining discipline within the teaching profession.
He added that due process would be followed and any disciplinary action would be taken in accordance with the Service’s code of conduct.

GES reaffirmed its position on professionalism and discipline in schools and said it condemned acts that undermine the safety and dignity of students.
