The National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Sammi Awuku has touted the credentials of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, describing him as a promise keeper, who walks the talk and delivers what he promises.
The NPP National Organiser who has again pitched camp in the Northern Region on a campaign tour told party members, supporters and sympathisers in Yendi that President Akufo-Addo lived up to his promise of restoring peace in Dagbon and has done so to the admiration of all.
Continuing with his constituency community engagements across the country, Mr. Awuku joined the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Yendi Constituency, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama on a campaign tour of various communities within Yendi.
Mr. Awuku and his team vociferously and strongly made a case for the retention of the Akufo-Addo led government and the NPP in power to continue with the transformational agenda it has embarked on, over the last nearly four years.
Describing the reception received by the team in the various communities as heartwarming, Mr Awuku said the people of Dagbon are not oblivious of the life-changing, human-centred and forward-looking policies, interventions and initiative introduced by the current government to ameliorate the suffering of the Ghanaian people.
He said ‘’Yes, they remember that, thanks to Nana Addo they now have peace in Yendi and Dagbon, Yes, they remember that thanks to Nana Addo they now enjoy all year farming, thanks to the 1 Village 1 Dam. Yes, they remember that, thanks to Nana Addo they are now beneficiaries of the Planting for Food and Jobs, Yes, they remember that, thanks to Nana Addo their children can also be educated freely under the Free SHS policy and many more interventions.’’
The iconic, charismatic, quintessential and hardworking NPP National Organiser used the opportunity to warn the people about the dangers of taking the December 7th elections for granted.
He said ‘’We can only win when all of us go out there to vote. This election is definitely about the future of our country and the future of the Young generation of our country.’’
He was full of praise for Alhaji Faruk Aliu Mahama for the extraordinary efforts he has committed to the campaign.
‘’His determination to work with all the contestants who competed against him and their resolve to also support him win big in Yendi is simply commendable.’’ Mr. Awuku averred.
He was accompanied on the tour by the Regional Chairman of the NPP in the Northern Region, Mr. Mohammed Baantima Samba, the Regional Organiser of the NPP, Alhaji Rashid C.O.P and all the Regional Executives, the Deputy CEO of Masloc, Hajia Abibata Shani Mahama and Alhaji Majid Haroun, Former CEO of the Northern Development Authority as well as other Party stalwarts.
