COVID-19: President Akufo-Addo lifts partial lockdown in Kumasi and Accra

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has announced the lifting of the partial lockdown in Accra and Kumasi from tomorrow.

In his update number 7 on the COVID-19 Pandemic, the president said social gatherings including churches, drinking bars and night clubs will still remain in force.

The measure BestNewsGH.com reports the president as saying does not mean “we are letting down our guard”

He added that the coming out of the lockdown in Accra and Kumasi does not mean the country is out of the Pandemic.

The president said the systematic lifting of the restrictions have been well thought through and that government is well prepared and equipped to handle the pandemic, in terms of halting the spread.
