The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria have seized jewelry worth a whopping 40 Million Dollars from former Nigerian Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke.
A judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, yesterday, Friday, July 5th 2019 ruled that the items including a customized gold iphone be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Mrs. Alison-Madueke is currently under investigation for graft and the EFCC is of the firm belief that the items were acquired with proceeds from illegal activities.
